Elymas was a pawn in the hand of Satan seeking to turn a genuine seeker away from hearing the truth. Friends - mark my words - this demonic opposition that comes through flesh and blood is real!

In my first year as a Christian - my flatmate and I came home from a Christian event and as we walked up the drive of our property - the atmosphere went chilling cold.  All the hairs on the back of my neck rose in recognition that we had walked into a demonic investation on our property. I was frightened.  My friend was experienced in such matters and guided me through the process of dealing with the situation.  Inside our house - the place was like a refrigerator - as it had been swarmed with demonic power - somehow called down on our property. We were regular intercessors and had seen many victories in our prayer times.  The devil was unhappy.  

By word of knowledge, my friend told me that The Lord revealed to him the source of this demonic barrage against us - a guy we knew whose mother was a witch in a satanic coven had gone to her and asked her to deal to us! I was wondering about this as we began to rise above this attack in prayer and the house began to warm up as the demons were sent packing - when out of the blue - a motocycle came down our drive and sat at the end of the drive with its headlights pointed at the house.  Yes - I couldn't believe it - it was none other than this young man coming to gloat at the damage he was hoping had been inflicted on us - only to find us smiling and full of the joy of The Lord!

I want to encourage every believer to understand this principle - anything worth something to The Lord will be contended for by the devil.  Get ready to 'armour up' - 'put on The Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the lust of the flesh' and watch your enemies be defeated! Amen
