As the world continues to battle the Covid-19 virus, many nations including NZ are in a state of emergency lockdown. This means we cannot meet even in small physical gatherings. However, due to modern video conferencing technology Faithpointe church continues to gather in virtual meeting rooms. Connecting with one another in times like these is vital to our sense of togetherness and commonality in Christ. Just to see faces that you have not been able to meet with for weeks is a blessing. But then we go further - we worship together, pray together and sit under God's word together.
Every Wed 7:00pm we open our prayer room for dialogue and gathering and begin our prayer meeting at 7:30pm. If for some reason you have not been sent a meeting I.D. that zoom requires to get into a meeting - you can always text a friend and get one off them. On Sunday mornings we are gathering at 10am for the same thing, followed by a teaching prepared during the week. We will continue to develop this as long as we are in Lockdown. The young adults - Firestarters are meeting online every Friday evening.
I want to encourage you with the call to gather by the writer of the book of Hebrews in the bible:
Hebrews 10:25 New King James Version (NKJV)
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
With viral outbreaks such as the one the world is experiencing right now - we must obey this imperative to meet together. Please join us online.
